Full Description

Trackway leading to Coal Mine (SMR 14010) identified from Tithe Map of 1845. (1) Shown as a 'Railway' connecting coal pits to a wharf to the north. (2) Baxter describes the route of the independent Tibshelf (Ling Moor) railway as follows; 'From coal wharf on Tibshelf Road (below Wharf Cottages), south-south west to Tibshelf Pit. Traffic, coal'. (3)
