Full Description

SK 055988: The greater part of an Iron Age/Romano-British pot, 1st century AD, was found in a natural cavity on a small shelf beneath a boulder in the scree above Longdendale by two small boys in 1958. There was no evidence to show whether or not it accompanied a burial. Now in Manchester Museum (accession no. 22859). (1-2)
