Full Description

SK 40387090 Chesterfield Road, Pinfold. Remains of a pinfold on Chesterfield Road were visited on May 29 1977. The drystone walls at that time were 10 courses high, with rectangular coping stones c. 15ins wide and up to 3ft long. The entrance was flanked by two gate posts with diamond recesses. The owner of Pinfold Cottage had removed parts of the east side to make a road to his house. A rough sketch was made at the time of the visit. (1)
