Full Description

SK 4750 7051 Oxcroft Lane, Post-Medieval Pottery. Saggars and early 17th century clay pipes were found in the garden of 10 Oxcroft Lane. D. Lane reported on 18/01/1977 to North Derbyshire Archaeological Trust that a kiln was discovered in 1936 on the Kitchen Croft. 150 pots of Brown Ware were found. The plates had wavy or notched edges and were decorated in yellow and brown bands. (1, 2)
