Full Description
A sestertius of Trajan was found on Wall's Farm, Whitwell, and bought from a farm-labourer in 1916. (1)
There are three farms containing the place-name element "Walls" in Whitwell: North Walls at SK 50187773; South Walls at SK 50157767; Little Walls at SK 49967744. However, they are very close together and the 2½" map marks only 'The Walls' at c. SK 512777. No further information was gained. (2)
