Full Description

A polished greenstone axe was found by Mr. J. Freer of Castlehill Farm in February, 1965. Mr. Freer indicated the find site as approx. SK 5052 7827. The axe is now in the possession of Mr. White of Steetley. (1) Neolithic Goup VI (Great Langdale) polished stone axe from Castlehill, Whitwell. In Worksop Museum. (2)
