Full Description

An adze in dark green-grey stone with surfaces patinated brown was found in July 1968 near Frithwood Farm, Elmton (no exact location was given). Both cutting edge and butt end showed signs of battering in antiquity. Length 5ins; width 3ins; thickness 1½ ins. (1) SK 518727. Found by G. Henton. A Bronze Age date has been ascribed to the artefact. (2)
