Full Description

A 19th Century toll house built by the Chesterfield and Hernistone Land Head Trust. The building is stone built, two storeyed and with a central doorway with flanking rectangular windows. One face has pediment, ball finials and blank circle in tympanum. Much altered. (1) Located on the junction of the road to Froggatt and B6001, nr Grindleford. (The Newhaven to Grindleford Bridge Turnpike 1758)
