Monument record MDR6834 - Posible ridge and furrow, Lane Head, Stoney Middleton

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Possible ridge and furrow running north to south. The ridge and furrow appears to continue into the next field to the east. There is also the shadow of a rectangle measuring 24ft by 14ft. (1). There are certainly traces of ridge and furrow in the adjacent field to the east, there is no ridge and furrow left in this field, although there was a certain lumpiness to the surface of the ground which may suggest there was once ridge and furrow. It is not clear where the shadow of a rectangle was, but no trace could be found during survey. (2).
