Full Description

Two Roman Coins found in or before 1978 during the digging of an allotment at Trinkey Lane. One coin (republican) is made of silver and dates from 155BC to 100BC. (1). The other coin is of bronze and is from Imperial period. It is most likely from the time of Victorious, with a date between 268AD and 270AD. Both coins are in the possesion of the owner of the allotment, G. Bettney, 16 Meadow Close, Stoney Middleton. (2)
