Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

Full Description

A possible ring cairn (could be a robbed cairn) with internal dimensions of 7 by 6.5m. The length of the feature is 9.5m and the breadth is 9m. There is a also a possible central cairn with a diameter of 2m. In Mayb 1983 the hummocky centre suggested a robbed cairn. It is close to a drystone wall a could therefore have been used as a quarry. (1) As with 1011, the feature on the ground cannot be reconciled with the OS description of the monument which suggests that it had dimensions of 4m by 3m (2)
