Full Description

Rooke noted that several barrows had been excavated on Offerton, Abney and Highlow Moors, and that human bones, 'urns', beads and rings had been found (1) He did not specify a location for these barrows- candidates within Offerton Parish are SMR 1118-11111, or those in Cairnfield 11106. (2)
