Full Description

Several fields with ridge and furrow earthworks. Map evidence also indicates that this land was once emparked and associated with the manor house. (1) The grounds are still [in 1976] shown as wooded parkland. (2) Post medieval field boundaries have been mapped from good quality aerial photographs at SK 2795 1710 and SK 2761 1704. (4) Probable earthwork ridge and furrow of medieval date seen as an interrupted random, mixed shape ridge and furrow system, with 'blocks' of an average 230m by 100m. Mapped using good quality aerial photographs. Centred at SK 2774 1716. (5)
