Full Description

(SK 2618 1409) A pond is shown but not named on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. (1) It is called a fish pond on the 3rd edition 25" OS map of the early 20th century. (2) The pond is shown but not named on the 1967 OS map. (3) Probable earthwork fishpond of post medieval date seen as one very large (>50m) amorphous negative feature. Centred at SK 2618 1408. Mapped using good quality aerial photographs. (4)
