Full Description

Private church to Calke Abbey. (1) The present church incorporates the walls of an earlier structure, plastered over on the inside and covered with ashlar on the outside. It also incorporates a possible Norman voussoir. Some of the fittings within the church are Jacobean, including the font cover; the original screen which divided the nave from the chancel survives in the north wing of the stable block [in 1987]. (2)
