Full Description

(Area SK 129 352) A medium polished stone axe was found by Mr. G. Cope, in July 1961, on Woodhouse Farm, Doveridge, on the surface of a ploughed field about 100 yards from the Brocksford Brook. The owner is Mr. W. P. Richards of Silverdale, Newcastle under Lyme. (1) Mr. G. Cope, the finder, indicated the approximate find spot at SK 1280 3606. Still in possession of Richards. (2)
