Full Description

Possible quartzite acheulean core tool found in a gravel pit and now in Nottingham University. Its apparent fresh condition suggested possible modern origin. Enquiries to the gravel pit office regarding the finder were negative. In 1966 Mr Roberts, a foreman at the pit, suggested approximate location being worked in 1953, noted above. (1)
