Full Description

Well to west of Elm Cottage, off B6465, Wardlow, a late 19th century structure and wall. An irregularly shaped wall off the short roadway to the west of Elm cottage is marked on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c1880 where it is labelled 'Well.' The structure was described as 'disused' in 1983 (1), and from a personal communication given in 1991 was described as not visible. (2) Further personal communication in 2022 has advanced that the well does in fact remain.
