Full Description

Cross-base identified by L. B. Cooper in 1966. Located on Totley Moor - the base or socle of a medieval wayside cross. Comprised of a natural earthfast block which has possibly been roughly dressed, and a roughly square socket hole in the top. The socket hole measures 25cm by 25cm by 15cm deep. The socle is c.40cm high, 70cm on its north side, 50cm on its east and south sides, and 60cm on its west side. (3)
