Full Description

Foxlane Farm, Holmesfield. Extant 17th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a loose courtyard with one side of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. The farmhouse is detached with side on to the yard. The site is in an isolated location. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site, suggesting it may remain in agricultural use. All the traditional buildings remain extant. (1) (2) (3) (4) Three storeyed building of 2 units plus a one storey extension divided into kitchen and dairy. Mullioned windows; date stone of 1691 over door. Well in kitchen. (5) Vernacular farmhouse building dated to 1691. (6)
