Drummer's Venture, adjacent to Pitts Mine: The area was worked c. 1660-1880. The site is relatively complete . (1)
Scheduled (4)
Next to the Winster Boundary into which the workings penetrate. The surface is covered with shafts and hillocks. Extensive pipe workings underground that have been partially explored by the North Staffordshire Mining Club. Remains are visible from and crossed by a public footpath. The surface features are considered suitable by L.Willies for inclusion in the Winster Trail. Below ground is of archaeological and geological interest.(5)
Site monitoring has been carried out and site appears not to be under threat. (6)
