Milestone, Clod Hall Lane, Baslow and Bubnell, an 18th century structure. 'Guidestone with a height of 1.20m. The west face reads 'To Chesterfield 7 Miles' and the east face reads 'To Tideswell 9 miles, Manchester 35 Miles, HA 1919'. On the 1759 Chesterfield-Hernstone Lane Head turnpike, now Clod Hall Lane.' (1-2) '18th century milestone, comprising a tapering gritstone slab with a double curved arched top.' (3) From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF BASLOW & BUBNELL CLODHALL LANE SK 27 SE 3/23 (South Side) Mile Stone at OS279738 II Mile stone. C18. Tapering gritstone slab with double curved arched top. Inscribed To Tidefwell 9 MANCHESTER 35/ TO CHEFTERFIELD 7 MILES. On the Chesterfield to Henstone Lane turnpike of 1759.
