Full Description

Prior to the construction of the Reservoir embankment the Todd Brook had to be diverted around the dam head by a new course. To provide mill owners with an adequate water supply a spillway weir was built at the head of the reservoir - this was started on 2 June 1836 and finished in June 1837. Due to its isolated location the spillway has been well preserved. (1)
