  • (Medieval to Tudor - 1200 AD to 1500 AD)

  • None recorded

Full Description

A cut feature was encountered during a watching brief monitoring the cutting of foundations for houses in the Dixon Croft development off Glasshouse Lane. This feature contained a substantially intact 13th-15th century vessel. Although severely truncated, the depth of the cut feature and an analysis of the fill suggests that this was a well. It would have been located in open fields and would probably have been covered. (1)
