Full Description
On steeply sloping ground within the woodland, adjacent to the Smisby/Hartshorne parish boundary, there is a three-sided enclosure formed by two narrow (c.1.5m wide) earthen banks (c. 1m high) running parallel to each other up the slope (c. 4m apart), and a steep (natural?) break of slope at the top end. The lower end is apparently open. Similar, narrow earthen banks are visible lower down by the stream. The function is unknown. (1)
