Full Description

Ridge and furrow earthworks was identified in this area based on cropmarks shown on aerial photographs dating from between 1971-2001. (1) Specific features were also identified in the far eastern field, on land north of Tulip House, during an aerial photographic transcription project in 1989. (2) Their presence was confirmed by a geophysical investigation carried out in 2016, running roughly north-south (3), however later excavations in 2017 seem to have mechanically removed their remains in a small area, excavating a number of underlying ditches and features.
