Full Description

Ridge and furrow grouping identified on aerial photograph plots. Cropmarks plotted on map overlay, 1:10,000. (1) A trench was placed in the area of the ridge and furrow to the south east of the Trent & Mersey Canal (trench 24). The interpretation of the feature is of a 'depression', probably a furrow of the ridge and furrow system. (2) Medieval ridge and furrow earthworks were identified in this area on aerial photographs dating to 1967-2006. (3)
