Full Description
Cropmark of a possible rectilinear enclosure of which only a part could be identified on an aerial photograph. A small circular cropmark feature appears in the south-west corner of the 'enclosure' and a linear feature follows a south-south-west route from the south-east corner. Another linear feature is horizontal to the other with a ring-ditch depicted to its immediate south. Cropmarks plotted on a map overlay at a scale of 1:10,000. (1)
Cropmarks were also identified in this area during an aerial photographic mapping survey, using aerial photographs dating to 1980. The cropmarks were interpreted as being later prehistoric field boundaries and a barrow. (2)
Reviewed (2026), earthworks are no longer visible on either LiDAR (3) or aerial photography.
