Full Description

A field survey in 1994 revealed the remains of a ridge and furrow field system and other earthworks at Foston. There is a possible building platform at SK 1889 3198 west of Coplow Lane and a linear bank, centred at SK 1936 3193, east of Hay Lane. (1) Medieval ridge and furrow earthworks were identified in this area during an aerial photographic mapping survey in 2009/10, using photographs from 1948. (2)
