Monument record MDR8244 - ?Round barrow (3 of 3), Anthony Hill, Elton

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Possible ploughed-out round barrow, 50 metres north of P. Harris's barrow B [SMR 5323]. (1,2). A destroyed or lost barrow located on a broad ridgetop on Anthony Hill, Elton. As this site has probably never been seen intact [since it was first recorded by Harris], the status of this site seems particularly suspect. (3).
