Full Description

According to notes in Sheffield City Museum made by J Radley, the top stone of a beehive rotary quern was found at Ashbourne Church. It dates to the Roman period. Its dimensions are as follows: diameter 3½ ins; height 10½ ins. The central perforation has a diameter of 1¾ ins. (1)
