Full Description

A copper-alloy tap in the form of a (?monk's) head was found by a metal detectorist at approx. SK 26715175 in late 1995 and reported to Sheffield City Museum. The closest parallels for the tap come from the sanitation systems of monastic complexes dating to the 12th-13th centuries. Retained by the finder. (1)
