Full Description

A copper alloy brooch was found by a metal detectorist at approx. SK 26315370 in late 1995 and reported to Sheffield City Museum. The brooch was in fair condition, although with the pin missing. It was an example of a widely occurring type of trumpet brooch. Retained by the finder. (1) A denarius of Vespasian (AD 69-70) was found by the same individual in February 1996 at approximately the same grid ref. Retained by the finder. (2)
