RCHME FIELD DESCRIPTION (1) SK 24921 63335: WORKED STONES - POSSIBLE MILLSTONE FRAGMENTS Numerous complete and incomplete examples of millstones and grindstones can be seen in the quarries fringing Stanton Moor, particularly at the SW. Fragments of worked stones, possibly from a broken millstone or sections of a segmented burr stone, have been located on the central N part of the moor, adjacent to a shallow surface quarry.
