Full Description

Milestone, northeast of White Meadow, Ballidon, of late 18th century date. The milestone stood on the Ashbourne-Bakewell turnpike road and is a painted ashlar sandstone block with a shaped top. In August 1983 it was described as being in need of restoration. (1-3) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 25 SW PARISH OF BALLIDON ASHBOURNE ROAD 5/3 Milestone half mile north east of White Meadow at NGR 207 539 II Milestone. Late C18.
