'Milestone on the B6054, east of Owler Bar. Inscribed under a double arch is 'GLEADLESS 8 MILES' CLAVER 6 MILES'. On a turnpike road of 1781. Photographic record.' (1)
'Milestone half a mile east of Owler Bar. Width 23", depth 4", visible height 25". Estimated date of the milestone is c1818.' (2)
