Full Description

Natural limestone cave formation. Taddington Dale. Two localities of caves are recorded in literature (SMR 13503 and 13555), but two more rock shelters have been found during this survey. All of the caves in the wood face eastwards and look towards Fin Cop. There is some variation in the height of the caves, with the known archaeological caves sitting at the lowest levels. (1).
