Full Description

According to the Hunter Archaeological Society, there is a barrow located at this NGR. (1) Site of a barrow recorded by the Hunter Archaeological Society as a 'Peak Park Treasure' in 1977. There is no known documentary evidence or any physical remains on the ground for this feature. It is possible the map reference was recorded erroneously and the site exactly 400m to the north was the intended site of a barrow [SMR 2216]. (2).
