Full Description

Gritstone milestone with a triangular cross-section. Two of the three sides are inscribed, one with 'SHEFF / 14', the other with 'MANC / 24'. The milestone stands on Telford's 1818-1821 Glossop-Sheffield Turnpike. (1, 2)
