Full Description

Mr. Glossop's siding for Minninglow Quarry. The siding stretches for most of the length of Minninglow Quarry. There are wooden sleepers and chairs in situ along the length, which are half-buried beneath turf. There are two sections of track stretching for approximately 446 metres. There is a rectangular concrete footing at the end of the siding nearest the Cromford & High Peak Railway. Adjacent to the siding is the main section of a large, heavily rusted crane. The siding runs parallel to a shelved part of the quarry, which was probably used as a loading dock. (1-5).
