Full Description

Embankment retained, (and formed), by two high, near vertical, retaining walls [SMR 30538]. The walls stand approximately five metres at the highest point. The walls are built from sub-square, large, dressed limestone blocks. The wall is drystone. A bridge is set into the embankment walls. The upper one metre of the wall appears to have been built separately as a boundary wall. (1-3). NGR: SK 19413 58179 - SK 19274 58224
