Full Description

Small gritstone milepost, approximately ½ metre high and 0.3 metres wide. It is rectangular shaped with carefully dressed edges and a curved top and has the number '11' carved into the front (11 miles to Cromford). (1,2). The milepost is recorded on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map and therefore predates 1880. (3).
