Stone bridge allowing the Newhaven to Youlgreave road to pass under the Cromford & High Peak Railway. The bridge is approximately 11 metes wide and six metres high. The tunnel is approximately four metres wide, four metres high and six metres long. The bridge is constructed from a mixture of gritstone and (predominantly) limestone blocks. The blocks are dressed, of irregular sizes, and are laid in even courses. The quoins are large with rough tooling marks. The bridge is flanked on either side by a short section of drystone embankment/retaining walls. (2). The bridge is recorded on the first edition ordnance survey map and therefore predates 1880. (9).
