Full Description

Retaining wall within cutting (SMR 7095), on the east side of the tracks. Drystone wall made from large, dressed, rectangular & some irregular limestone blocks laid in courses. The wall is approximately 30m long and 1m high. The full extent of the wall is not known, as it is covered in dense vegetation. The wall is part of the Derbyshire Silica Firebrick Co. Ltd on Blakemore Siding. (1-4). NGR: SK 15452 62565
