Type and Period (2)

Protected Status/Designation

Full Description

Site of level-crossing. Two gateposts in the wall, one concrete/stone and one wooden; the gateway is walled in by SMR 7098. There is a metal post which is approximately one and half metre high and stands next to the wall and the gateposts. There is no evidence of a gateway in boundary wall SMR 29038, but a concrete post stands near to it and could be related. Iron posts, similar to the one by boundary wall SMR 7098, have been seen next to other, definite, level-crossings. (1,2).
