Full Description

Drystone boundary wall, approximately one metre high and constructed of irregular limestone blocks. It comes down as the boundary wall of the Tissington Trail (the old line to Ashbourne). At the bridge (SMR 28901), it widens out to become a boundary wall at the bottom of the embankment (SMR 28900). The wall widens out considerably to form the boundary wall of Parsley Hay complex (SMR 28902). The wall goes over the top of the cutting (SMR 29041) and forms the sloping embankment of SMR 29042. It forms the boundary wall of a later (new) embankment for the track. The wall then goes over a cutting (SMR 29055). It widens out to take a 90 degree angle to cut off the old track line, then gradually returns trackside. It goes over the top of a cutting continuation (SMR 29055). The wall then widens out considerably at a bridge (SMR 29059) to form the boundary wall for a large area of earthworks, (possible reservoirs), on the embankment (SMR 29058). It then widens out to form the boundary wall of Hurdlow Goods, but stops at the end of the current car-park before a cattle loading dock, where it continues as a boundary wall for a house and gardens.
