Full Description

Embankment to even out the gradient of Hurdlow Incline. The embankment is constructed as a long mound with sloping sides and is flanked on either side by boundary walls. The embankment is approximately 20m wide and 6-8m at its highest point. The embankment is constructed from a piled-up mound of irregular limestone blocks. NGR: SK 12129 66214 - SK 11935 66280
