Full Description

Huge cutting through a limestone slope. The railway is built on a terrace cutting into the hillside. On one side the cutting is approximately 20m high, on the other there is a drop of approximately 5m and a retaining wall. In parts, the rock of the cutting is deeply fractured. Where the cutting face is uneven, short lengths of mortared wall have been set into the rock face. (1) NGR: SK 06380 70940 - SK 06213 70946
