Full Description

Stone under-bridge allowing a lane to pass under the Cromford & High Peak Railway. The bridge is constructed of dressed gritstone blocks laid in courses and is approximately 6m wide and 6-7m high. The tunnel is approximately 3m wide, 10m long and 6m high. Rough tooling marks can be seen on the blocks on the outer face of the bridge. The bridge is flanked on either side by drystone butresses.
