Full Description

Wooden post, possibly to which a loading gauge was fixed. The post is circular, approximately 6m high; there are three staggered notches on either side and a metal spike protruding from the top. A photograph in Jones & Bentley shoes a loading gauge in approximately this position. However, the post does look like a telegraph pole. (1-8)
